Witchy, welcoming, and picture-perfect, Coupeville comes alive each October with the Halloween spirit! Join us October 22 - 25, 2026, for a Practically Magic Halloweekend in the seaside town where Practical Magic came to life. From family-friendly pumpkin races to not-quite-midnight margaritas, there’s enchantment for everyone in the heart of historic Coupeville.

  • Practically Magic Guided Walking Tours

    Discover the charm and stories of historic Coupeville, WA as you explore the real-life locations featured in Practical Magic. 

    On this approximately hour-long walking tour—guided by local witches, movie extras, and community members who remember when a little Hollywood magic came to town—you’ll roam downtown Coupeville and the surrounding neighborhood while getting insider information about the filming of the 1998 cult classic. 

    Tickets $25

    Your tour includes:

    • A guided walking tour (45-60 min)

    • Insider stories and filming details

    • A special commemorative tour gift

    • A coupon for a margarita or non-alcoholic beverage at Osprey Fish Co.

    Tour Dates: Saturdays, September 12–October 24, 2026
    Tour Times: 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM

    Please note: Tours will not be offered on Saturday, October 17.

    Maximum 30 people per tour. If tours do not have sufficient sign-ups, they will be cancelled by noon the day prior and registrants will be notified by email.

  • Movie Nights

  • Ales & Apothecary

    Saturday, October 24th

    2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

    Magic and merriment come together at the Ales & Apothecary brew garden in the heart of Coupeville’s historic district. Nestled next to the historic Haller House, this cozy, witchy retreat is the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the autumnal atmosphere.

  • Torchlight Parade & Street Dance

    Races begin at 2:00 PM

    Rev up your gourds and get ready for a rollicking good time at The Great Coupeville Pumpkin Race! This high-energy event is the grand finale of a Practically Magic Halloweekend, bringing together locals and visitors alike for an afternoon of fun, competition, and a touch of Halloween magic.

  • Scavnger Hunt

    An October-Long Scavenger Hunt!

    Calling witches of all ages! Coupeville is overrun with magical frogs and we need your help to find them all. Grab a Witch Hunt passport at Kingfisher Bookstore and find the witchy frog at 33 local businesses.

    Get a stamp at the register when you find a frog. If you find at least 12 frogs, bring your passport back to the bookstore for a free Halloween sticker. If you find at least 24 frogs, you get a sticker and a free book from the Kingfisher’s Seconds Stack.
